Hello and welcome to my site!
My name is Mike Heilbron, and I live in Colorado along the Front Range in beautiful Boulder County. Back in January, I got the crazy idea to see how many of the county’s numerous trails I could hike, snowshoe, backpack and maybe even mountain bike over the course of a year.
Over the upcoming months, it is my strong desire to explore and to learn a lot more about the place where I live, to regain a little fitness, rekindle the skills developed along my trail to Eagle Scout, and to share online what I find along the way. In the process, I hope to hone my web development skills, become a better photographer, and maybe even get the kids into hiking and backpacking. (I have a long way to go on each goal…!)
